Welcome to Fair Rigg, a beautiful period guest house in Bowness on Windermere. Richard and Christine Shaw provide high quality, comfortable and stylish accommodation. Relax and enjoy comfortable beds in well appointed, spacious rooms with Period features and all wit*h large en-suite bathrooms. Home-made breakfasts and a warm welcome await you in the lovely surroundings of The Lake District National Park.
Fair Rigg was built in 1890 and still retains many of its period features including beautiful fireplaces. Also the lovely sash windows frame views of the Fells and glimpses of Lake Windermere.
The house is situated a short pleasant walk of approximately 15 mins from the centre of Bowness with its many bars, restaurants and shops as well as the beautiful shore of Lake Windermere. It is close enough to enjoy the great facilities that Bowness offers but far enough away to avoid the noise
The patio at the front of the house is the perfect place to admire the view or enjoy the sunset with a drink.
Unfortunately we cannot accept pets and neither do we accept children under 14 years old. We have our own car park and there is flat access from the car park to our reception.
